In 1995 Mr. Milburn had the most life changing moment in life when his mother Jo Ellen Milburn who began developing early signs of dementia at the age of 56 years of age.

Although it began to be a devastating experience for Mr. Milburn he chose to take the moment and embrace it and walk with his mother through this journey taking his focus off of himself but turning his focus on his mother and this process.

While on this journey Mr. Milburn wrote his first book to be released in the fall of 2009.  With author added to the list of talents he gives all credit to the Lord  and takes nothing for granted.

The Jo-Ellen Alzheimer's Foundation was established in 1999 in memory of Mr. Milburn's mother.

The foundation was created to promote awareness of the disease but to give some sort of relief  and support of the caregiver. 

We  focus on the caregiver and what we can offer those care for their loved ones with life changing diseases.  Our desire  is to walk with the caregiver and their loved ones through the journey
